Contemporary New Build Cheltenham

Location: Gloucestershire

Project: Bespoke new-build home

Architect: Lewis Critchley Architects

This contemporary Cotswold house is set within a generous landscape near Cheltenham, conceived as a modern family home with a strong connection to its surroundings. The design reinterprets the character and materiality of traditional Cotswold architecture through clean forms, refined detailing and a restrained palette of natural materials.

Carefully composed volumes, generous glazing and framed views connect the interiors with the garden and wider landscape, while bringing natural light deep into the home. The principal living spaces open onto terraces and landscaped gardens, creating a seamless relationship between inside and out.

The result is a calm and contemporary interpretation of a Cotswold home, combining traditional material character with modern proportions, openness and a sensitive response to its landscape setting.
