Birchwood House is a bespoke contemporary home in Gloucestershire, designed to create a strong connection between architecture, landscape and modern family life.

Set within a mature wooded landscape, the house combines clean architectural lines with warm, natural materials. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing brings light deep into the interior while framing views across the gardens and surrounding trees.

Generous open-plan living spaces connect directly to landscaped terraces, gardens and a swimming pool, creating a seamless relationship between inside and out. Carefully positioned courtyards introduce further natural light, greenery and privacy.

A restrained palette of brick, timber, stone and neutral finishes gives the house a contemporary yet timeless character.

Lewis Critchley Architects is a RIBA Chartered practice specialising in bespoke new-build homes and contemporary residential architecture across Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and the UK.
