Contemporary Woodland Residence, Gloucestershire

Upwood is a bespoke contemporary new-build home set within a mature woodland landscape in Gloucestershire.

Designed by Lewis Critchley Architects, the house combines expansive glazing with natural timber, stone and concrete to create a strong connection between the architecture and its surroundings. Open-plan living spaces extend onto landscaped terraces, while large windows frame woodland views and bring natural light deep into the home.

The multi-level design responds carefully to the site, with private bedroom suites and balconies overlooking the grounds. An outdoor swimming pool, terraces and landscaping create a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor living, while garaging and practical spaces are discreetly integrated at the lower level.

Upwood reflects our approach to bespoke contemporary house design: creating individual homes shaped around their owners, location and landscape.

Lewis Critchley Architects designs contemporary new-build homes, luxury residences and one-off houses in Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and across the UK.
