Contemporary Cotswold Homes

Location: Cotswolds

Project: Bespoke new-build home

Architect: Lewis Critchley Architects

Cotswold + Modern Homes is a collection of contemporary new build houses designed by Lewis Critchley Architects in Gloucestershire.

The architecture reinterprets traditional Cotswold character through simple roof forms, natural materials, contemporary detailing and generous glazing. Each home is carefully positioned to respond to its landscape, maximise natural light and create strong connections between internal living spaces and the surrounding countryside.

Designed for modern family life, the houses combine generous open-plan spaces with carefully framed views and a strong sense of place.

The project demonstrates how contemporary architecture can complement the distinctive character of the Cotswolds without resorting to imitation, creating modern homes that are both contextual and individual.

Lewis Critchley Architects is a RIBA Chartered architecture practice specialising in contemporary new build homes, residential architecture, extensions and renovations across the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire.
