Rammed Earth House

Architecture rooted in nature

The Rammed Earth House is a contemporary residential retreat that explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and natural materials. Conceived as a low-profile pavilion immersed in greenery, the residence combines minimalist design with the warmth and tactile richness of rammed earth construction.

The architectural composition is defined by strong horizontal lines, generous overhangs, and monolithic earth walls that establish a sense of permanence and tranquillity. Floor-to-ceiling glazing creates a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces, allowing natural light, surrounding vegetation, and seasonal changes to become integral elements of the living experience.

At the heart of the project, a series of reflecting pools introduces a calming presence, enhancing the dialogue between water, earth, and architecture. Carefully integrated landscaping softens the building’s geometry and reinforces its connection to the site.

The material palette celebrates natural textures and earthy tones, creating an atmosphere of understated luxury. Passive design principles, thermal mass, natural shading, and the potential use of locally sourced materials inform an environmentally conscious architectural approach.

The Rammed Earth House represents a vision of timeless living, where contemporary architecture and the natural environment exist in quiet harmony.
